"Assistant Professor"

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting July 1, 2026. Priority will be given to the fields of Analysis or Numerical Methods. Excellent candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered.

Title: Assistant Professor (higher ranks possible subject to approval).

Terms: New tenure-track position.

Wage: Salary starts at $99,377 (as of May 1, 2025).

Duties: Teaching, scholarly activities such as research, academic service, and graduate student supervision.

Skills Requirements:

• Education: PhD or equivalent in mathematics or related field.
• Work Experience: Proven research excellence, ability to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, and desire to supervise graduate students.
• Bilingualism: Excellent communication skills in English or French; active knowledge of the second official language required for tenure.
