Assistant Professor Politics of Care (1.0 fte)
Job Summary: The position involves analyzing political and policy issues in healthcare and the social domain, focusing on implications for parties such as patients, professionals, care institutions, and insurers. It requires interest in both theory and practice, contributing to scientific insights and societal impact. The role addresses challenges like scarcity in care, aging populations, climate change, pandemics, and adapting the care system for collaboration between public and private players while maintaining accessibility, affordability, and quality. It also tackles issues like regulatory burden and amplifying voices of underrepresented groups.
Responsibilities: Contribute to ongoing projects in the Health Care Governance section; deliver teaching contributions (approximately 35% of the appointment); conduct research on governance in healthcare; acquire, execute, and coordinate project work; develop and deliver education.
Qualifications and Requirements: PhD in public administration, political science, or related fields; demonstrable affinity with policy analysis from a political perspective, preferably in healthcare and the social domain; several years of post-PhD research experience; experience with qualitative research methods; ability to work in teams; experience in acquiring and coordinating projects; experience in developing and delivering education; possession of a Basic Teaching Qualification (BKO) or willingness to obtain it; proficiency in English and Dutch; good communication skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders.
