Offer Description

Place of employment: Department of Fundamentals of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science
Location: ul. Morska 81–87, 81-225 Gdynia, Poland
Working time: Full-time employment at Gdynia Maritime University, which shall constitute the employee's primary place of employment.
Employment and remuneration conditions: Employment contract; remuneration in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the employment contract.
Expected date of commencement of employment: 2 November 2026

Requirements

Research Field: Computer science » Informatics

Education Level: PhD or equivalent

Specific Requirements

A higher education degree, with completed first-cycle and second-cycle studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field, and a PhD degree in Technical Sciences in the discipline of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Telecommunications.
Experience enabling the candidate to conduct teaching in the following areas: algorithms and algorithmics, machine computations, databases, Internet and mobile technologies, programming, and programming languages.
Knowledge of the Polish language at a level enabling the candidate to conduct classes and lectures in Polish.
Knowledge of English at a level enabling active participation in research and development activities carried out in an international environment.
Aptitude for scientific research and teaching students.
Previous teaching experience will be considered an additional advantage.
Experience in research and academic work, as well as a scientific track record, will be considered an additional advantage.
