The selectee will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to contribute to Columbia College's Core Curriculum. Candidates must have an outstanding research agenda and a teaching record that reflects eagerness to work closely with graduate and undergraduate students. Fluency in Portuguese is required. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2026 and will continue until the position is filled. Ph.D. in Luso-Brazilian cultural studies. Teaching experience in language and culture in graduate school or in current position. Our criteria involve, but are not limited to, scholarly promise and achievement, outstanding potential in teaching, a strong commitment to cultural studies, and an eagerness to work closely with graduate and undergraduate students.
