Assistant Professor, Psychology
Job Summary:
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Regis University in Denver, CO, invites applications for a tenure-track position in psychology at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate should be able to teach General Psychology, Psychological Disorders, Clinical & Counseling Psychology, Research Methods & Behavioral Statistics, and courses related to their specialty area. The specific area of expertise is clinical or counseling psychology.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is part of Regis College, the traditional undergraduate liberal arts college of Regis University, which is a Hispanic Serving Institution, serving approximately 2000 traditional undergraduate students (~60% of whom are students of color; ~30% of whom are first-generation college students). The department offers a B.S. degree in psychology with approximately 100 majors. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. The candidate should be dedicated to excellent undergraduate teaching, plan to maintain an active research program that engages motivated undergraduates in their research and be committed to mentoring a diverse student body.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned doctorate in psychology
- Record of (or potential for) scholarly productivity
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy, in line with our Jesuit principles of honoring the dignity of all and standing with the historically marginalized.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful teaching experience in higher education, including development of inclusive pedagogy
- Demonstrated success engaging undergraduates in research
