The Department of Psychological Science invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month Assistant Professor position (R0077668/R0078261) beginning August 2026. UA Little Rock is a doctoral-intensive metropolitan university serving a diverse student body of approximately 10,000 full- and part-time students. The Department of Psychological Science houses one of the largest degree programs at UALR with about 600 active majors, state-of-the-art classrooms, and both flexible and fixed laboratory resources (e.g., Bio-behavioral lab, Cognition, Financial Stress, and Health lab and a Human-Computer and Immersive Technology lab.) The successful candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses a semester in the B.A. program, primarily courses in Statistics and Research Methods; Exhibit a commitment to writing in the discipline; Engage in research and scholarship activities; Supervise student research and internships; Advise students in the major; Participate in service activities in the program, college, university, and the Little Rock community.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology, ABD considered.
Preferred Qualifications: A focus in one of the following: Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Human Experimental Psychology; Experience teaching Psychological Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology. Existing scholarship in area of expertise.
