Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Department of Endodontics
The Department of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates should demonstrate strong academic accomplishments in oral microbiology, cariology, and/or endodontic infections to complement our departmental strengths. The department has research interests spanning biofilm-induced oral diseases, host-microbial interactions, tissue regeneration and repair, and translational diagnostics and therapeutics.
Applicants with a robust research background, including a strong indication of obtaining NIH funding (e.g., K99/R00/R01 or equivalent), are especially encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in polymicrobial interactions, disease modeling (in vitro and animal models), and engineering applications in dental research. Candidates with dental and specialty training in endodontics and cariology are preferred. Commitment to excellence in teaching basic and translational sciences to DMD students/residents and demonstrated mentoring experience is highly valued.
