The Rector-Commandant of the Academy of Justice announces a COMPETITION for the position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Penitentiary Studies of the Academy of Sciences

BASIC TASKS:
- Conducting didactic classes and research work;
- Support of the Institute of Penitentiary Studies of the AWS in its current work, and above all in the implementation of the Postgraduate Studies Program for candidates for Prison Service officers and first- and second-cycle studies in Penitentiary Studies;
- Verification of students' knowledge after completing the courses;
- Performing the basic duties of an academic teacher: participation in briefings, committees, reporting on teaching activities, etc.
- Undertaking tasks for their own didactic and scientific development and developing didactic skills.
- Designing, implementing and reporting various development works, especially related to the specificity of the tasks of the AWS Institute of Penitentiary Studies;
- Participation in research teams and other task forces as part of the implementation of AWS tasks.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- holding at least a doctoral degree in the discipline of social sciences or humanities (sociology, pedagogy),
- having experience in teaching and training;
- communicative knowledge of English;
- having full legal capacity and exercising full public rights,
- no criminal record for an intentional crime.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO PEOPLE:
- have academic experience in teaching, research and didactic positions;
- having experience in the Prison Service, in particular in the basic units of the Armed Forces
- declaring their readiness to affiliate with AWS of scientific achievements created as a result of their work at this University;
- English at a level that allows them to use from English-language scientific literature;
- showing high availability to carry out didactic tasks in Kalisz and Warsaw.

Only complete applications will be considered (documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered).

The decision on employment is made by the acting Rector-Commandant.
