Description of Work
The School of Accountancy invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor rank beginning August 2027. All areas of teaching and research interest will be considered; however, our primary teaching need is in taxation. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in accounting or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to publish high-quality research in leading accounting or closely related discipline journals and contribute to the School's teaching mission. We are particularly interested in individuals who are strong organizational citizens and are interested in being active members of a rich academic community. Salary, benefits, and research support are competitive.
About the School of Accountancy The School of Accountancy (https://business.unl.edu/academic-programs/departments/accounting/) has 11 tenured or tenure-track faculty and 6 Professors of Practice. It provides a very collegial environment for research and teaching.
