The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Articles 32(1)(19), 73 and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, announces the following:
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S
for appointment
2) to the research-teaching position of assistant professor in natural sciences, the field of physics, the branch of biophysics and medical physics, for an indefinite term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Experimental Physics of the PMF, Department of Physics – 1 person.

Specific Requirements
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, under all points of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
Applicants under all points of the Call must enclose the following:
- CV;
- the relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
- proof of nationality (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).
Applicants for point 2 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:
- a doctorate degree in natural sciences, the field of physics.
The applicants applying under 2 of the Call must enclose with their application:
- proof of meeting the provisions of the National University, Scientific, and Artistic criteria for Academic Promotion in Croatia (Official Gazette 42/2026) (hereinafter: the National Criteria). In accordance with Article 98(1) of the National Criteria: 'Within 60 months from the date of entry into force of these National Criteria, in the procedure for appointment to an open scientific-teaching position of assistant professor, for appointment to a senior scientific-teaching position of associate professor, full professor, and a tenured full professor, as well as for reappointment to a scientific-teaching position of assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor, following an applicant’s request submitted before the expiration of the deadline for submitting proof of eligibility for the appointment or the reappointment, the provisions of Annex I of these National Criteria, instead of Part Two, Title II, and Title III, as well as the provisions of Annex II of these National Criteria, instead of Title IV, shall apply to their appointment or reappointment”.
- evidence of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call in accordance with Article 10 of the Ordinance on Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science (which can be accessed on the PMF website).
