One associate to a vacant position of Senior Assistant in the scientific area of Social Sciences, scientific field of Communication Sciences, on a fixed-term basis for a period of up to four (4) years, on a full-time basis, at the Department of Communication Studies of the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb.

Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must meet the requirements laid down by the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22), the Statutes of the University of Zagreb and the Statutes of the Faculty of Croatian Studies.

Specific Requirements

The following are required as additional selection criteria: Experience in media and journalism, experience in teaching at the university level, and published research paper(s) in the field of Communication Sciences.

Selection process

The application period is 30 days from the date of publication of the Call in the Official Gazette. Applications must state the applicant's full name and the wording “Call for application - September 2026” and must be submitted exclusively to the following e-mail address: dekanov.ured@fhs.hr.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Required documentation:

• a personally signed application (stating full name, date and place of birth, residential address, telephone/mobile phone number and e-mail address);
• a personally signed curriculum vitae;
• proof of citizenship, and, for foreign nationals, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language at C1 level;
• copies of all diplomas and evidence of fulfilment of the eligibility requirements and priority rights;
• for item 1, applicants must also submit a personally signed report on their previous research, teaching and professional activities, presentations and participation in scientific and professional conferences,
• as well as a list of published papers and papers accepted for publication, in PDF format.

The Faculty of Croatian Studies reserves the right to cancel this Call or not to select any applicant, without being required to provide reasons for such decision and without incurring any liability towards the applicants.

The procedure for conducting the public recruitment procedure up to the adoption of the decision on the selection of an applicant does not constitute administrative proceedings.
