Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, Specialised in Venture Investment & MedTech Acceleration (Ref.: H01/2026/032).
Job Description
- Helping the Centre develop business and get investors for our spin-offs
- Pitching the business to potential new partners
- Liaising with investors and industrial partners and managing good relations
- Communicating with researchers and inventors to come up with practical plans that put their inventions in sustainable and high-growth businesses
- Studying industry trends and market opportunities to create business cases in relation to the inventions
- Devising strategic plans for market entry
- Estimating economic value potential and develop growth tracks
- Seeking new business collaboration opportunities
- Working in a team supervised by senior staff members of the Centre
Skills and Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, Management, Medicine, Life Science, Bioengineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business management, preferably specializing in technology-driven sectors including biomedical instrumentation, industrial automation, artificial intelligence.
- Highly familiar and deeply understand China’s business landscape
- Proven experience in getting investments from investors
- Ability to learn and acquire highly sophisticated scientific and industry knowledge quickly (education or work experience in the following sectors an advantage but not a must: life science, healthcare, electronic engineering, material engineering, applied physics)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project
- Comfort with highly ambiguous, ever-changing situations
- Fluent spoken English and Mandarin
- Immediately available and may require working outside normal office hours and on weekends
