Skills/Qualifications
Applicants for the competition must meet the requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (OG 119/2022). Along with the signed application for the competition, applicants must provide personal information (name and surname, date and place of birth, residential address, telephone number, e-mail address, name of the job for which they are applying).
Applicants for the competition must submit the following with their application:
- CV,
- copies of personal documents (ID card and certificate of citizenship or proof of citizenship of another country),
- copy of proof of appropriate professional qualifications, i.e. academic degree of Doctor of Science (if applicable)
- list of works, separate works, certificate of citation and indexation of works of the Library for Biomedicine and Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka (if applicable),
- certificate of health fitness from a licensed occupational medicine physician (for first choice),
- applicants whose native language is not Croatian must submit proof of knowledge of Croatian, level (B2) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,
- applicants who completed their studies outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a decision on professional recognition of foreign higher education qualifications.
Specific Requirements
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the competition in the Official Gazette.
Applicants are required to apply and submit other evidence of meeting the competition requirements in electronic form to the e-mail address: natjecaji@fdmri.uniri.hr.
Applications for the competition may be submitted by persons of both sexes (Article 13, paragraph 2, of the Gender Equality Act, Official Gazette 116/03).
Applicants who invoke the right to priority in employment in accordance with: Article 102. of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21), Article 48., item f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03 and 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9. of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence specified by special regulations for the exercise of this right. Such applicants shall have priority in employment in relation to other applicants, only under equal conditions.
Evidence for exercising the right to priority in employment in accordance with the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families is available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans.
Evidence for exercising the right to priority in employment in accordance with the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War is available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans.
Before making a decision, the Faculty reserves the right to conduct a knowledge and skills test and/or interview with applicants who submit a timely and proper application and meet the formal requirements of the competition. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner about the testing and/or interview. If an applicant does not attend the test and/or interview, it will be considered that he/she has withdrawn his/her application for the competition. The Faculty of Dental Medicine reserves the right to make a decision not to select a candidate or to cancel the competition without any specific explanation.
A candidate who submits a timely and complete application and meets the formal requirements of the competition will be considered a candidate. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
By applying to the competition, applicants expressly agree that the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Dental Medicine, as the controller of the personal data file, may collect, use and further process data for the purpose of conducting the competition procedure, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (OG 42/18).
