Assistant Softball Coach
Job Description Summary
The Assistant Softball Coach will assist the Head Softball Coach with the overall oversight of the day-to-day operations and functions of the SF softball team.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Assist the head coach with sport-specific instruction, team conditioning, game strategy, facility upkeep, equipment organization, recruiting of prospects, and travel to away games during the sport playing season.
- Ability to demonstrate the skills necessary to teach softball, such as hitting ground balls, fly balls to defense; catching bullpens; and throwing front toss/catch and throw accordingly.
- Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
- Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: A combination of education and/or post high-school sport experience equal to four (4) years, which may include: a bachelor's degree with collegiate playing experience; an associate's degree with collegiate playing experience and two (2) years of directly related experience in coaching at any level or playing at the collegiate and/or professional level; or a high school degree or equivalent with four (4) years of coaching experience at the collegiate and/or professional level.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted. Must be able to lift/carry items more than 20 pounds; push and pull; bend and stoop; reach and grasp; and other repetitive motions.
Preferred: A bachelors degree with collegiate playing experience.
