Provide instruction in safe and effective spotting procedures
for all lifts to ensure maximum effect of the exercise and the
safety of the athlete is maintained
Administer and evaluate testing procedures to identify both
student-athlete and team strengths and weaknesses
Manage and maintain inventory and strength & conditioning
infrastructure
Establish a good line of communication with coaches of
designated teams
Performs other duties not specifically stated herein but deemed
essential to the operation of the strength & conditioning
program as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning
Coach.
Design and daily administer strength, stretching,
agility/plyometric, speed development and conditioning exercises
and programming.
Provide instruction in a safe and effective manner.
Manage and maintain inventory, infrastructure and the
department's budget.
Communicate regularly with all head coaches.
Support the UMD Athletics mission of excellence in the
Classroom, Community and Competition; while furthering the
strategic plan of UMD

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and
verbally.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete well-being and
building an inclusive culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
certification.
- One year experience at the collegiate and/or professional
level.
- MA/MS degree.
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
