Assistant, Transportation
Essential Job Functions
- Plans, organizes, and control activities related to transportation
- Manages the fleet
- Maintains relationships with insurance companies and follows up on claims
- Accepts group bookings and ensures that transportation charges are calculated correctly
- Obtains licenses for transport and execution of motor vehicles
- Ensures timely renewal of licenses and permits, and reports to supervisors/managers to initiate appropriate action
- Answers requests for proposals and orders from customers
- Other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of specialized experience involving the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
Licenses/Certifications
Valid MS Driver’s License (maintained throughout employment)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of office management and organization
- Good communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Good records maintenance skills Skilled in the use of operation of basic office equipment
- Ability to organize/schedule/prioritize requests for vehicles or jobs
- Ability to maintain accurate records of vehicle operations
- Ability to prepare basic statistical reports
