Description
The Division of Information Technology ( DoIT )has an immediate opening for a full-time position of Assistant Vice President for Information Technology (AVPI-T). The AVP-IT is a senior leadership position responsible for assisting the Vice President for Information Technology ( VP-IT ) in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of information technology initiatives. The AVP-IT collaborates closely with executive leadership, while providing leadership and oversight for enterprise technology initiatives, operational excellence, information security, digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, customer support, and technology governance.
This position collaborates with academic and administrative leaders to ensure technology services support Hampton University's mission of promoting learning, innovation, research, leadership, and service. The AVP IT helps develop and implement technology strategies that enhance the student, faculty, staff, and stakeholder experience while advancing institutional goals.

- Operations Management : Provide daily management oversight of IT operations. Work with staff as needed to resolve IT issues in a timely fashion.
