Offer Description
- Participation in the planning, organization, and implementation of conservation work at archaeological sites of the Centre for New Technologies, University of Warsaw (CAŚ UW);
- Preparation and maintenance of conservation documentation, as well as participation in research and monitoring of the condition of archaeological heritage;
- Participation in the development of conservation programmes, documentation methods, and recommendations for the protection of archaeological heritage;
- Collaboration with archaeologists, architects, and specialists in the natural and technical sciences;
- Participation in the preparation and implementation of national and international research and conservation projects;
- Conducting scholarly research related to the position’s field of expertise, including analysis and publication of research findings and presenting results at conferences.

Skills/Qualifications
- fulfilment of the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, consolidated text)
- a completed long-cycle Master's degree in Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art or an equivalent degree, with a specialization
- Experience in the conservation and documentation of archaeological artefacts, including fieldwork at archaeological sites;
- Documented academic activity, including publications and/or participation in academic conferences;
- Fluency in spoken and written Polish, and a good command of English sufficient for consulting academic literature and collaborating in an international academic environment;
- Ability to organize work independently and to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Specific Requirements
if hired, we expect the University of Warsaw to be the primary workplace for the successful candidate.
- Experience working or collaborating with a higher education institution or a scientific research institution;
- Experience in conservation work carried out as part of foreign archaeological missions;
- Experience in monitoring the condition of archaeological heritage, assessing threats to archaeological heritage, or conducting material studies of cultural heritage objects;
- Additional education, postgraduate studies, courses, or specialized training related to archaeology, art history, heritage conservation, conservation chemistry, or material studies.

Selection process
- The competition consists of the following stages:
- Stage I - formal evaluation of documents,
- Stage II - substantive evaluation on the basis of submitted documents,
- Stage III - interview with selected candidates,
- Stage IV - final evaluation of competence, experience and scientific achievements,
- Stage V - adjudication of the competition and announcement of results.
