4) Assistant in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of biochemistry and medicinal chemistry, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Biochemistry of the PMF, Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, under all points of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
Under any point of the Call applicants must enclose the following:
- a CV;
- the relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
- proof of citizenship (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).
Applicants applying for point 4 must enclose:
- academic transcript from the university undergraduate and graduate study levels.
Applicants for point 4 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:
- a completed university graduate study programme in chemistry, research-oriented; or a university graduate study programme in molecular biology.
Additional conditions:
- knowledge of biochemistry, demonstrated by enclosing an academic transcript from the undergraduate and graduate study levels.
Information for foreign nationals
Foreign nationals applying under any point of this Call must enclose a proof of Croatian language proficiency in addition to the above-listed documents.
Candidates applying for points 1 and 4 of the Call should enclose with their application a proof of eligibility under the additional terms and conditions in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Terms and Conditions for Appointment into Grades and the Corresponding Positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
Applicants applying for any point of the Call who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top results in the selection procedures.

An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.
CANDIDATE ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:
Applicants applying for points 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Call who are fully eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call may be invited to take part in an interview as part of the selection procedure.
If invited, the applicants will receive a separate e-mail advising them of the time and place of the interview.
Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying their qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for submission of applications for point 4 of the Call is 90 days after publication in the Official Gazette.
