Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of the FTMBA & MSBA Career Management Center (CMC), the Associate Director of Career Advising and Education leads the strategic design, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive career coaching and educational programming for Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) and Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) students. This role is responsible for establishing a data-driven, individualized career development framework that empowers students to secure high-impact employment. In addition to direct coaching and curriculum development, the Associate Director provides functional leadership, mentorship, and ongoing professional guidance to the center’s career advising staff—specifically the Manager of Career Engagement and the Career Training & Development Specialist—while collaborating on employer-facing marketing initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Deep understanding of the MBA and MSBA career landscape, job functions, and industries. Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and elevate professional staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Ability to foster positive relationships with multiple, diverse professional constituencies. High level of professionalism. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), presentation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Proven self-starter. Proven ability to build structured educational content and deliver engaging presentations or workshops to graduate business students. Proficiency in leveraging modern career management systems (e.g., Slate, Handshake, Quinncia, CareerOS) to pull analytics, track milestones, and optimize operations. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems and their implications, within the parameters of the University of Georgia and Terry College’s practices and policies.
