Associate Application Developer

Harvard University is seeking a full-time Associate Application Developer to join the Student Information Systems team and work on the my.harvard Portal Optimization project. This role involves gaining an understanding of core functions such as Enrollment, Course Search, Advising, Grades, Tasks and Holds, Activity Guide Processes, Student Profile, Student Financials, and Financial Aid.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive applications/web development with Django and FastAPI frameworks, working as part of a team to implement business solutions, writing basic code of moderate complexity and maintaining related documentation, participating fully in the software development life cycle, supporting technical solutions to deliver business requirements, and troubleshooting problems with suggestions for improvements.

Basic qualifications require 2+ years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience. Additional preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Django and FastAPI or similar frameworks, knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment, and demonstrated team performance skills.

This is a fully benefited, full-time position funded through June 30, 2027, with possibility of renewal.
