Associate Director for Academic Support
Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) invites applications for the Associate Director for Academic Support position in the Center for Academic Success and Accessibility Services.

The Center for Academic Success and Accessibility Services is a merger of the former Academic Success Center and the Disability Resource Center. Recognizing the value of a more integrated approach to the academic success of students, the Associate Director works closely with teammates to develop a robust offering of programs and initiatives that enhance support and promote self-advocacy, helping students gain confidence and independence throughout their collegiate journey. The Center is a positive work environment where no student leaves without receiving the support they need.
Reporting to the Center Director, the Associate Director for Academic Support will assist students to improve their academic performance and provide oversight of all academic content support services. The Associate Director will serve as a vital resource to students, faculty, and staff in helping to break down academic barriers for students. The Associate Director will collaborate broadly across campus, and especially with academic departments, to ensure a comprehensive, innovative, and robust academic support menu and student-centered learning environment.
Required qualifications for this position include a master’s degree in education or related field (i.e., counseling, teacher education, student development) and four years of knowledge and experience working in academic/learning support. Other requirements include the ability to be creative, develop innovative academic support programming, and independently manage projects, strong interpersonal skills, experience supervising students and/or staff, and demonstrated commitment to creating a just and inclusive community, intercultural competency, and enthusiasm for working in an institution committed to social justice.

The annual salary range for this position begins at $85,464. The final offer will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
