Caseload Management: Academic Mentors manage an assigned caseload of student-athletes by maintaining consistent mentoring appointments, documenting session outcomes, and tracking progress toward academic goals. Mentors are responsible for effective time management, punctuality, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with departmental policies.

Building Academic Skills: Academic Mentors facilitate one-on-one sessions focused on developing the five BullsLearn Academic Skills: reading, writing, time-management/organization, note-taking, and study/test-taking skills. Sessions emphasize time-management and organizational strategies, assignment planning, and the practical application of advised learning strategies to support student-athletes in completing coursework and improving overall academic performance.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role are a bachelor's degree. Preferred candidates will have experience in mentorship roles within educational settings (particularly collegiate sports).

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
