Job Description:
This position is eligible for up to two days remote work per
week
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications will be a
strategic partner to the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications
and a member of the Office of Information Technology Leadership
Team. The individual will demonstrate leadership, the ability to
manage enterprise projects, and be responsible for operational
services by ensuring continued reliability of enterprise
applications through planned maintenance and support to business
users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Enterprise
Applications, supporting the senior director and filling in as team
leader when necessary
Manage a small team of enterprise specialists, overseeing
enterprise projects and service requests
Oversee the planning and execution of key enterprise systems
that complement our ERP, Ellucian Colleague, such as financial aid,
document management, ID card, IT ticketing, and campus portal.
Evaluate existing technologies to maintain proper version
control and patching and provide recommendations for upgrades or
replacement.
Lead efforts to maintain and improve documentation of
applications, interfaces, and operational processes.
Communicate with vendors, business users, and project managers
on Enterprise Application efforts.
Oversee testing and implementation of new functionality and
system enhancements.
Provide analysis of existing operational processes and
workflows and recommend improvements or efficiencies.
Develop standards and procedures for change management in
Enterprise Applications.
Provide status updates and reports to IT management on projects
and operations.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with IT leadership in the planning and execution of
tasks in the use of technology to meet both department and
University goals.
- Assists with the support and development of third party and
cloud-based integrations for Enterprise Applications.
- Supports efforts for cybersecurity, data protection, business
continuity and disaster recovery efforts within Enterprise
Applications.
- Perform such other related duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Business or related field.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience working with
enterprise-level applications.
- A minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience or
significant experience leading large scale enterprise projects with
team members and functional areas to success
- Experience with agile project management methodologies
- Candidate should exhibit knowledge and experience in the
following: database management systems, enterprise application
security, SQL query, programming concepts, secure data integration
methods,, on premise and cloud-based enterprise system
architecture.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's or advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer
Science, Business, or related field.
- More than five years of professional experience working with
enterprise-level applications in a higher education
environment.
- More than two years of management/supervisory experience.
- Two years+ of management/supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and related enterprise systems
is preferred.
- Experience with Ellucian Ethos for data integration.
- Experience with Touchnet OneCard ID card solution.
- Experience using GIT for version control.
- Experience writing data integrations between systems to help
train team members.
- Proven track record utilizing agile project management
practices to successfully manage enterprise projects to launch on
time
