LOCATION: Lynnwood Washington

DESCRIPTION:
The Business Division at Edmonds College provides a variety of programs of study, including transfer degrees, professional-technical degrees and certificates. This position focuses on the Business Law classes that are an integral part of the Associate in Business – Direct Transfer Agreement. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline plus industry experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. degree, master's degree in Business, or related discipline and experience.
- Teaching experience at a community college or university.
- Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences and abilities.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in a classroom and laboratory, which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a personal computer in the work environment.
COMPENSATION:
Work schedule is based on an eleven week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $5,865.82 at Step A.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- You must document your citizenship or employment authorization within three days of hire.
- Criminal background check. Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicants suitability and competence to perform in the position.
- All new positions are contingent upon funding.
- At this time, Edmonds College does not sponsor H1-B Visas.
