  • Full‑time, ongoing Academic Level A position.
  • Based at Parramatta or Kingswood campus with flexible working options.
  • $95,248 – $115,074 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative and collaborative Associate Lecturer to join our Computer Science and IT team. They will have responsibilities across undergraduate teaching, research and service. You will bring expertise in one or more of the relevant areas of contemporary computing, including cybersecurity, distributed systems, cloud and edge computing, software engineering, Internet of Things, computer graphics, and information systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging, evidence-based, high-quality teaching to undergraduate students
  • Contribute to the curriculum and subject coordination
  • Undertake and contribute to research and publications in high quality journals
  • Develop internal and external relationships to serve the university and community

What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching using contemporary and evidence‑based pedagogies.
  • Contribute to curriculum design, review, and improvement across Computer Science and IT programs.
  • Develop a research trajectory that leads to outputs, partnerships, and future funding.
  • Engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Participate actively in School, Faculty and University initiatives.

About You

  • A PhD or equivalent in the area of Computer Science, Information and Communications Technology or related fields, preferably with specialisation in cybersecurity, distributed systems, cloud and edge computing, software engineering, Internet of Things, computer graphics, or information systems.
  • Ability to contribute to teaching in areas relevant to the Discipline of Computer Science and IT.
  • Teaching experience in tertiary and/or practice settings
  • A developing research profile with potential to supervise honours and HDR students
  • Strong communications skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams
