Remuneration: $94,453 to $128,163 pa. (LEVA) OR $134,910 to $160,222 pa. (LEVB); (inclusive $79,813 to $108,300 (LEVA) salary p.a. OR $114,000 to $135,390 (LEVB) salary p.a.; 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
Location: Kelvin Grove

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Social work and Human Services to join School of Public Health and Social Work, Faculty of Health.

The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Social Work will work with a team of highly experienced academic and field work practitioners, within the wider School of Public Health and Social Work. The position is teaching intensive and will contribute to teaching across the Social Work and Human Services programs.

What you need to succeed

Level A

Completion of a higher degree the relevant discipline area, and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Understanding and ability to deliver critical approaches to learning and teaching, including the use of digital technologies and authentic assessment.
Understanding of critical theory and practice orientation as it applies to Social Work.
Ability to develop internal and external partnerships that support and extend teaching.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and cooperatively in a team environment.

Level B

Completion of a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area, and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Proven ability to effectively embed and deliver critical approaches to learning and teaching, including the innovative use of digital technologies and authentic assessment, resulting in quality student outcomes.
Detailed understanding of critical theory and practice orientation as it applies to Social Work.
Demonstrated success at developing internal and external partnerships that support and extend teaching.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and cooperatively in a team environment.
