Associate or Full Specialist - Chang lab
This position will involve advancing the field in speech neuroscience by investigating speech and language in key regions of the human brain to advance our understanding of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) population. Specialist will also assist PI with hardware and software development for high-throughput single-unit electrophysiological recording during awake brain surgeries.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Specialist - Master's degree (or equivalent degree) in a neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science, or engineering field, or in a related field.
- Full Specialist - PhD degree in a neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science, or engineering field, or in a related field.
- Expert in intraoperative experiments.
- Research experience with behavioral task development and single-unit recording in both animals & humans.
- Good communication and organization skills will be necessary for study related interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical design
- Electrical circuit design
- Software development (C# and MATLAB)
- Embedded system development (C++)
See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $75,600 - $194,800.
