Associate Professor Consultant in Clinical Pharmacology
Post Summary
Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin and St James’s Hospital wish to appoint an Associate Professor/Consultant to the Discipline of Pharmacology & Therapeutics. The postholder will ensure high-quality coherent delivery of existing activities across teaching, research, and clinical practice. As well as developing their own research interests, they will play a critical role in raising the profile of clinical research and strengthening the relationship between the School of Medicine, clinical faculty, and corporate leadership at St James’s Hospital.
The Discipline of Pharmacology and Therapeutics was established in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin as a centre of excellence for the pharmacology, hypertension, cardiovascular risk and prescribing practice, encompassing patient care, research, and education. The specialty interfaces with the Wellcome-Health Research Board Clinical Research Facility at St James’s Hospital (SJH-CRF) and other relevant disciplines including Medicine and Medical Education. The post will be a 50:50 clinical academic contract based at St James’s Hospital, and Trinity College Dublin.

Salary
This appointment will be made on the Associate Professor/ Consultant, Public Only Consultant Contract (POCC23) – Academic, salary scale at a point in line with current Government pay Policy (and will be commensurate with experience). https://healthservice.hse.ie/staff/pay/pay-scales/
