Associate Professor in Translation, Innovation & Evidence Based Intellectual Disability Practice
This is a joint appointment between Trinity College Dublin (TCD), School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Stewarts Care. As an Associate Professor of Translation, Innovation and Evidence-based Intellectual Disability practice you will establish and lead the implementation of a collaborative, inclusive, and translational research agenda across both organisations, enhancing both the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Stewarts Care international reputation for education, research, innovation translation and engagement. You will shape joint working relationships with practice and academic colleagues, building ambitious, interdisciplinary, and translational research that enhances education and research opportunities and places the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin and Stewarts Care at the forefront of academic partnerships. Vitally, in addition to having the highest level of academic and Intellectual Disability practice credibility, intellectual standing and research excellence, we need someone with the energy, ambition and enthusiasm to lead the development of research capacity, and innovation and translation, connectivity and culture across both organisations—demonstrating real impact.
Post Specific Requirements
To establish and lead the development and implementation of a collaborative research and education agenda which will enhance the reputations of both the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin (SNM, TCD) and Stewarts Care in research, education, innovation, engagement and evidenced based practice. The appointee will take up the role as Head of Research at Stewarts Care to design, develop and implement a Research Strategy for the organisation that will drive Translation, Innovation and Evidenced Based Intellectual Disability Practice. To make an exceptional and sustained academic contribution to research and innovation, teaching and learning in both institutions. This post is embedded in both organisations and split 50:50 between The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and Stewarts Care.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Senior Lecturer Full Salary Scale (€91,151 - €117,706 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
