Position Description

The Department of Psychology at Texas State University is seeking an Associate or Full Professor in Clinical Psychology. Expertise in quantitative methods and/or aging is preferred (although all specializations in clinical psychology will be considered).

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications for both ranks:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed or license eligible in the state of Texas.
  • Must meet tenure requirements for the Department of Psychology at Texas State University.
  • Established research record with significant publications.
  • A record of external (i.e., state, federal, or foundation) grant funding.
  • Experience supervising graduate students in clinical training and research
  • Excellence in classroom teaching.

Required Qualifications for Full Professor:

  • Must meet requirements for promotion to the rank of Professor for the Department of Psychology at Texas State University.
  • Evidence of national and/or international reputation through awards, society leadership, speaking engagements, high-impact publications, or other metrics.
  • An established record of significant, multiple external grant awards.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications for both ranks:

  • Specialization in quantitative methods and/or aging (although all specializations in clinical psychology will be considered).
