Job Summary

The Augusta University/University of Georgia (AU/UGA) Medical Partnership is seeking an experienced faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor to teach in undergraduate medical education. Responsibilities include teaching clinical skills, community and population health, simulation, and group facilitation. Opportunities for curriculum leadership and clinical care may be available. All specialties are considered, with preference for primary care backgrounds.

AU/UGA Medical Partnership offers an integrated curriculum with active learning strategies. Faculty will collaborate with Basic Science Educators. This is a non-tenure track position.

Responsibilities

• Teaching/Instruction (80%): Teach in various areas and serve in leadership roles. Expected to provide patient care one day per week.
• Research/Scholarship (10%): Engage in educational research or scholarly activities.
• Service (10%): Serve on committees and advise students.

Required Qualifications

MD, DO, or equivalent degree; Board Certification; ability to obtain necessary licenses. At least five years at Assistant Professor rank or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience in U.S. medical programs, especially in active learning methods, and engagement in research or scholarship.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Part-time position (0.5-0.74 FTE), with potential increase. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include holidays, leave, and retirement plans.
