Offer Description
Associate professor position (full-time) at the Institute of European Studies and International Relations, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Comenius University in Bratislava, a leading university in Slovakia. The associate professor is expected to be able to teach at MA and PhD level, conduct their own research and run their own national and international research projects, and be an established member of the research community. The institute is the best-ranked research institute in the Excellence evaluation (based on REF system).

Skills/Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in political science, international relations, European studies
- at least 10 years of research experience (after PhD)
- Independent scientific and research activity; principal investigator on at least one domestic and international scientific project as a member of a research team (at least one national and one international project completed and running or submitted at least 1 project application)
- Publications in domestic academic journals and foreign peer-reviewed, impact-indexed, and current content-indexed journals, to the extent of:
a/ authorship or co-authorship of one monograph or a chapter in a monograph; author or co-author of one scientific paper published in journals, publications, or conference proceedings listed in registered databases
b/ and, at the same time, the author or co-author of four scientific papers published in international or domestic peer-reviewed scientific journals, monographs (Current Contents, Web of Science, and SCOPUS) over the past 5 years, or during the period in which the applicant was economically active in the field, or on a pro rata basis relative to the preceding period, out of which two have to be published internationally, - B2-level proficiency in English; ability to teach in English,
- C1 level in Slovak language; ability to teach in Slovak (confirmed by study in Slovak language, mother tongue or languge certificate)

- a structured resume in Slovak and English providing an overview of professional experience to date,
- copies of documents certifying higher education,
- copies of documents certifying language levels,
- an overview of publications and scientific research activities over the whole academic career with selection of the publications of the past 5 years, presented in the required format according to the qualification requirements (see table),
- a declaration of non-criminal record
