Description
The Yale School of Medicine, Department of Urology is a rapidly growing academic urology program with the goal of becoming a destination center for patients, trainees, and urologists over the next five years. With the arrival of newly committed recruitments, the faculty is expected to be composed of 43 members – 38 clinical and five research - across four divisions in 2024.
We are seeking a full-time urologic oncologist and division chief to join our team as a transformational leader for the Division of Urologic Oncology and Andrology. This position will have administrative, clinical, and research duties and will oversee all faculty members in the division. Currently, there are 14 clinical and two research faculty members in the division. Three additional research faculty members are expected to join by the end of the calendar year 2024. Therefore, the new division chief will have administrative responsibility over 19 faculty members.
The final candidate must be qualified to be a member of Yale Medicine and join the medical staff of Yale-New Haven Hospital. A commitment to multidisciplinary care, clinical innovation, and a consistently outstanding experience for patients and their families are expected. A track record of translational research is strongly desired.

Qualifications
The successful candidate is a tireless optimist with the vision to grow the Division of Urologic Oncology and Andrology across the tripartite mission of our department – clinical care, education, and research. Clear and concrete plans for securing program project grants and executing practice-changing clinical trials over the next five years are expected.
Applicants must hold an MD degree and be board certified in urology to qualify. Experience commensurate with the academic rank of an associate professor or higher is required.
