Position Overview
The Program in Translation Medicine, Laboratory of Experimental Therapeutics at Ruijin Hospital is seeking applications for a tenure track Associate Professor in the area of gene and cell therapy. We are looking for a motivated scholar with demonstrated expertise who can build an innovative, independent research program focused on translating scientific and medical discoveries to patients and contribute significantly to teaching and academic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and direct an externally funded, independent research program specializing in gene therapy.
- Collaborate with other scientists to assist in basic and translational projects.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to molecular genetics, gene therapy, or biomedical sciences.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in molecular biology, genetics, biomedical sciences, or a related discipline.
- Significant record of peer-reviewed publications and evidence of impactful research in gene therapy or related areas.
- Demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in translation of gene therapies, including preclinical or clinical studies.
- Collaborative research with multidisciplinary teams.
