"Associate Research Scientist"

The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a full-time Associate Research Scientist to contribute to several ongoing mixed methods studies related to maternal and reproductive health. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Associate Research Scientist will provide expertise in applicable social science and public health disciplines to all aspects of qualitative and mixed methods research, including design, conduct, analysis, and dissemination. They will provide oversight of study management including quality assurance and control; contribute to conference abstracts and scientific manuscripts; contribute to the development and implementation of research proposals; and provide written reports as needed. They will take a lead in public health communication and dissemination of findings. They will perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in training, education and/or experience plus a minimum of two years of related experience.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency with MaxQDA, excellent writing and communication skills are required as is experience managing collaborative projects. The candidate should also have experience in the fields of health equity, and maternal and reproductive health.

Preferred Qualifications

A PhD in a social science discipline with a focus on health or gender, or public health preferred.
