Associate Research Scientist
The successful candidate will perform research in a wide range of nonlinear optics and photonics research involving the interaction of light with matter, including four-wave mixing, stabilization of optical frequency combs, and optical signal processing. The candidate will also oversee Gaeta Group research lab, including mentoring of postdoctoral associates, PhD students, and undergraduates, prepare manuscripts for publication, interface with collaborators outside of Columbia, and assist in the preparation of research proposals.
The position is initially for one year, possibly extending to four years. Candidates must have a PhD in physics, electrical engineering, optics, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-PhD experience.
