JOB TITLE:
Associate Professor or Assistant Professor
JOB PURPOSE:
The mission of the Division of Communication Disorders is to advance the science behind practice, develop practice ready speech-language pathologists to serve the communication needs of individuals from all backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Division of Communication Disorders at the University of Wyoming is seeking an Associate or Assistant Professor in speech-language pathology with a strong preference for candidates with commensurate experience at the Associate level. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. Primary responsibilities include sustaining a research program in areas of interest, teaching, and service. On campus presence is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Assistant Professor: Earned doctorate in speech-language pathology or related discipline and evidence of potential for independent research productivity and publications by time of appointment. Evidence of promise for scholarly achievement, potential to develop an independent research program, and potential for high-quality teaching.
Associate Professor: Earned doctorate in speech-language pathology or related discipline and evidence of independent research productivity and publications. Evidence of scholarly achievement, development of an independent research program and evidence of high-quality teaching.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
All areas of expertise will be considered, but expertise in dysphagia, cognitive communication disorders, voice disorders, craniofacial disorders, stuttering, speech and/or hearing science is desirable.
