Position Description
Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, located in the vibrant city of Lubbock—the “Hub City” of West Texas. Our department provides the full spectrum of surgical and clinical otolaryngology services, from tonsillectomies and cleft-palate repair to head and neck cancer surgery, facial reconstruction, cochlear implantation, and thyroid procedures. Our skilled surgical team are active clinicians, researchers, and educators committed to advancing the field. With a growing faculty, a residency program established in 2016, and multiple clinic locations, our department remains dedicated to expanding access to outstanding patient care for West Texas and beyond.
Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Major/Essential Functions
- Provide medical and surgical therapy for head and neck systems, inclusive of allergies, neoplasms, deformities, diseases, disorders or injuries.
- Treat and manage chronic conditions with therapy and medication.
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in the education of medical students and residents.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO/MBBS/MBBCh.
- Completion of USMLE Step 3.
- Completion, or in the process of completing, an Otolaryngology Fellowship.
- Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Medical license.
