SALARY RANGE: $70,304-$70,304
HIRING RANGE: Anticipated hiring range is near or at the minimum of the classification, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
INTRODUCTORY PERIOD: Twelve (12) Months

Definition of Classification:
The Compliance and Student Success Coordinator ensures institutional adherence to NCAA Division III rules and regulations while fostering the academic and personal development of student-athletes. This position manages compliance operations, eligibility certification and transfer processes and leads student-athlete success initiatives, including life skills programming and academic support.
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations/SWA, this position will serve as a liaison between athletics, faculty and student life to promote holistic student-athlete development.
This position is partially funded by the NCAA Pathway to Excellence Grant.
This position requires flexibility to work evening and weekend hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compliance (45%)
• Monitor and enforce NCAA Division III, SCIAC and University of Redlands rules and policies.
• Manage student-athlete eligibility certification in coordination with the Registrar’s office and Student Life.
• Oversee the transfer and international student-athlete eligibility process including, but not limited to: NCAA portal entries and amateurism certification.
• Prepare and submit required NCAA and conference annual reports (e.g. annual compliance attestations, sports sponsorship and demographic forms etc.)
• Maintain compliance systems (Teamworks, LSDBi, Eligibility Center, etc.) and accurate documentation.
• Conduct rules education sessions for coaches, staff and student-athletes
• Oversee NIL declarations
• Assist with investigations and self-reporting of violations
Student Success (45%)
• Monitor academic progress and eligibility for all student-athletes.
• Coordinate academic support services, including tutoring referrals and study hall programs
• Develop and implement life skills programming (e.g., leadership, career readiness, financial literacy, wellness etc.) in collaboration with other University offices.
• Serve as the liaison between athletics, faculty and student life to promote holistic student-athlete development.
• Organize workshops and events that integrate campus resources into student-athlete experiences
Other (10%)
• Special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics or the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations/SWA
• Represent athletics on campus committees related to student success and compliance
Qualifications Guidelines:
Any combination of experience/training/education equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
Required
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in NCAA Compliance, student-athlete academic support, or related roles.
• Familiarity with NCAA Division III rules and regulations
• A valid California Class C CA drivers’ license with a good driving record is required. Note: Out-of-state licenses are valid until appointment. A valid California Class “C” driver’s license must be obtained within ten (10) days of appointment (in accordance with CA Vehicle Code 12505c).
Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of NCAA compliance areas: eligibility, transfers, amateurism, recruiting and reporting.
• Ability to interpret and apply NCAA bylaws and institutional policies
• Excellent Organizational skills for managing multiple deadlines and detailed records.
• Communicate effectively and follow instructions, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with coaches, faculty and student-athletes.
• Aptitude to learn new and evolving technology and recommend ways to improve position’s efficiency.
• Knowledge of FERPA and student privacy regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience working with Teamworks (ARMS) software.
• Ability to exercise discretion and work with confidentiality.
• Must be able to competently interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Working Conditions:
Standard office setting. Duties performed are primarily in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation or in meetings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Physical Demands:
Incumbents regularly sit for long periods; walk short distances on a regular basis; may travel to various locations to attend meetings and conduct work; use hands and fingers to operate an electronic keyboard or other office machines; reach with hands and arms; stoop or kneel or crouch to file; climb stairs; speak clearly and distinctly to answer telephones and to provide information; see to read fine print and operate computer; hear and understand voices over telephone and in person; and lift, carry and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
