Baltic Studies Program: Juris Padegs Post-Doctoral Associate, 2026-2027

The Yale Baltic Studies Program invites applications for a post-doctoral associate position of four months during the 2026-27 academic year for researchers from Latvian or Estonian universities in any field in the humanities or social sciences.

Housed in the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, the Yale Baltic Studies Program is an interdisciplinary forum for the study of the Baltic Sea region, with an emphasis on the lands that comprise contemporary Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The program sponsors workshops, symposia, and lectures, and serves as a resource for and liaison among students and scholars whose work involves the Baltic region.

The scholar will be expected to be in residence in New Haven, Connecticut to participate in the activities of the Yale Baltic Studies Program, and to make at least one public presentation at Yale during the period of the appointment.

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and complies with the Yale Office of Postdoctoral Affairs compensation policy and includes a benefits package.
