Behavioral Health Psychiatric Professional
The Psychiatric Social Worker is responsible for maintaining a caseload of adult patients within the acute psychiatric unit and providing comprehensive psychosocial services. These responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, providing case management services, facilitating individual and family meetings, and participating in treatment planning and discharge planning processes. The Psychiatric Social Worker will also deliver psychoeducation to patients and their families to support treatment goals and continuity of care.
In addition, this role involves obtaining insurance authorizations and completing concurrent utilization reviews with insurance providers for behavioral health patients. The Psychiatric Social Worker will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure coordinated, high quality patient care.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $32.09 - $68.87 (Hourly Rate).
