The Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory (SERL) is seeking a
highly-reliable, self-driven, Spanish-speaking applicant to join
its Data Team. In addition to conducting telephone interviews in
Spanish, the data team member will be trained in, and responsible
for, the following activities:
- Quantitative and qualitative data entry
- Transcription work
- Preparing Mailings
- Conducting phone survey interviews/phone call follow-up to
encourage survey participation Assistance with Focus Groups
Data analysis preparation
Programming in REDCap
Other duties assigned as needed
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and
able to conduct phone interviews fully in Spanish. They will be
able to translate from Spanish to English and vice versa. They will
also be able to read and write in Spanish and transcribe phone
interviews in both languages. The ideal candidate will be
professional, hardworking, and able to complete tasks independently
and on time. An interest in research, particularly in policy or
government affairs, is essential. Candidates must be available to
work on campus during most of the summer break and continue into
the school year. A minimum commitment of 15 hours per week is
required. Remote work may be permitted for some projects if the
candidate consistently produces high-quality work with minimal
supervision.
