Position Summary

The School of Arts and Sciences seeks applications from potential adjunct instructors to teach courses in the Biology Department. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in their related field, practical experience, and a passion for engaging and inspiring students. All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University.

Teaching Schedule

The Natural Sciences department is seeking qulaifies adjunct instuctors to teach the Biology courses listed below. The courses meets in person on the NE Philadelphia campus. Only candidates available for these specific timing need apply.

BIOL-207-A/B (Lecture) Anat & Physiol I, MoWeFr 3:15-4:15pm
BIOL-207-C/D (Lecture) Anat & Physiol I, MoWeFr 8:00-9:00am

BIOL-207-F (Lecture) Anat & Physiol I, TuTh 9:45-11:15am

BIOL-207-F (Lab) Anat & Physiol I, Tu 1:15-3:15pm

BIOL-207-G (Lab) Anat & Physiol I, Mo 8:00-10:00am

BIOL-207-H (Lab) Anat & Physiol I, Mo 10:30am-12:30pm

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching of courses in their assigned disciplines
• Maintaining academic excellence in their classrooms
• Responding to email correspondence from deans, coordinators and students in a timely manner
• Providing grades and feedback to students in a timely fashion
• Active and timely use of Canvas, our LMS and CRM, our retention software for student learning and engagement

Qualifications

The successful applicant must hold an earned academic degree (doctoral or master's level) in the discipline or a related field appropriate for the contracted teaching responsibilities.
