Candidates should have familiarity with standard statistical methods and the ability to apply appropriate statistical approaches to research questions. General programming skills and proficiency in at least one statistical programming language, such as SAS, R, or Python, are preferred, along with the ability to independently learn new programming skills and troubleshoot and solve challenging programming problems. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred. The successful candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, work effectively both independently and collaboratively, and communicate statistical concepts and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant research or work experience is preferred. Experience with large language models (LLMs), domain-specific language models, high-performance computing (HPC) clusters, or cloud computing environments is highly desirable but not required. Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of chatbots and other AI-assisted tools, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies, is also preferred.
