Branch/HQ Student Assistant (Chestatee Regional Library System) - Federal Work Study
Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Chestatee Regional Library System. The Chestatee Regional Library System is seeking a Federal Work Study student to serve as a Branch/HQ Administrative Assistant. This position supports daily branch operations through detail-oriented tasks such as electronically scanning shelves to identify misplaced or missing materials, shelving books, and assisting with collection organization. The student will also collaborate with the system’s cataloguer on special projects and may provide support with policy updates and basic document formatting. Ideal candidates are organized, reliable, and attentive to detail; experience with social media, podcasting, or video editing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collection maintenance, cataloguing projects, basic administrative tasks as necessary. 3D printing, podcasting, or video editing a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Business, Communications, Literature, Publicity/Marketing majors preferred. Being able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week is preferable.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
