Portland Community College is seeking a Bridge to Queer & Trans Student Success Project Coordinator, an initiative funded through an Oregon Department of Education LGBTQIA2S+ Student Success Grant. The Bridge to Queer & Trans Student Success (BQTSS) Project is designed to help LGBTQIA2S+ students make the transition to college and succeed during their first year.
This is a .5 FTE 8 month temporary position with possibility of extension; this position is also a grant-funded position on a four-year grant cycle with allocated funding through June 30, 2028.
The project coordinator will report to the Director for Queer & Trans Student Success.
What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For
- QTBIPOC Expertise: Experience working with, supporting, and advocating for queer, trans, and gender expansive Black, Indigenous, People of Color...
- Program & Event Planning: Demonstrated experience in inclusive and accessible student programming and event planning...
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Liberal Arts, Multicultural Studies, Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, Social Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field. One year of experience in a diverse setting coordinating services or programs for the population served.
