Overview
The Business Administration degree at The University of Lancashire you will work alongside research-active academics and experienced supervisors. You’ll design and deliver a doctoral thesis focused on your chosen area in business and management. What you'll do
- Examine a significant organisational challenge from your own professional context. You'll explore existing evidence and apply research methods to develop a practical, informed solution that supports positive change.
- Develop and complete a doctoral project. You'll take your project from literature review and methodology to analysis and discussion. All culminating in a 50,000-word thesis.
- Strengthen your professional practice by applying research to real organisational challenges. You will generate insights that inform strategic decision making, guide leadership, and support meaningful organisational development.

General requirements
- Hold an approved master's degree in business, management or in a subject that is relevant to the proposed research programme to be undertaken. Or hold an equivalent and relevant professional qualification.
- Have a significant level of relevant business, management or professional experience at a level appropriate to the proposed research programme.
- Demonstrate the potential to conduct research and write a thesis at doctoral level in a field which matches the areas of supervisory expertise available within the School of Business.
- Demonstrate a high order of oral communications skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of motivation and a clear personal and professional rationale for undertaking the DBA programme.
- Provide two appropriate and satisfactory professional/academic references.
