Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role 

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a short-term Business Analyst to join the Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions team on a fixed-term, full-time contract until December 2026.

Key responsibilities:

•   Ensure the successful delivery of user, functional, and data requirements analysis relating to the University’s platforms.  
•   Build test processes and scripts to ensure any changes to the interface or application can be tested. 
•   Liaise with a wide variety of customers, key stakeholders and project sponsors to effectively document vision and scope.
•   Use modelling skills to represent process, requirements, data and other technical information in graphical forms.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can learn systems quickly, work well alongside stakeholders and deliver effective training while maintaining high standards of documentation and communication. 

Key requirements:

•   Experience in working in projects with a strong customer service focus.  
•   Good knowledge and understanding of technology and its impact on the business environment. 
•   Proven ability to effectively capture, analyse and document requirements and to assess potential solution alternatives. 
•   Relevant qualifications in information technology, design, business, or other applicable area.
