Business Intelligence Manager - Care at Home Platform - FT - Day

Position Summary: The Business Intelligence Manager serves as a strategic analytics leader for a team of supply chain informatics specialists with responsibilities spanning clinical utilization, contracting, product performance, and enterprise-wide cost optimization. This role is designed to connect data insights across traditional and emerging care delivery models, including inpatient, ambulatory, and home-based care.

In addition to supporting sourcing and operational excellence, the manager plays a critical role in advancing UCI Health's Care at Home Platform by delivering actionable analytics across programs such as remote patient monitoring, mobile diagnostics, and care-at-home services. This position integrates data from EHR, ERP, inventory, and financial systems to build cross-functional dashboards, model performance trends, and support enterprise strategy execution.

With a focus on supply chain alignment, clinical integration, and value realization, the Business Intelligence Manager helps uncover common denominators across departments—bringing together fragmented data to drive smarter decisions in a complex academic medical center environment. The manager serves as a central resource for integrating and transforming data from multiple systems into visually compelling dashboards and reports for leadership. By employing business intelligence tools like Power BI and Supply Chain Control Tower, this role supports operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and enterprise-wide problem-solving.

Required Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of business intelligence operations, principles, policies, methodologies, and architecture.
  • Proven record of implementation of analytical systems in a hospital and training staff to use the tools.
  • Must have a deep understanding of healthcare data analysis and business intelligence and be able to convert large data sets into actionable insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Experience analyzing complex information in an objective manner and derives logical conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities and selecting appropriate courses of action.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking ability to analyze complex problems then formulate and apply effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering insights across supply chain, clinical operations, care-at-home programs, and/or revenue cycle.
  • Demonstrated strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Advanced relationship building skills, influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively across all levels of management and staff and with various service lines.
  • Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to create and maintain a climate of collaboration and trust through data-driven projects.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely to senior leaders, managers and staff.
  • Advanced ability to motivate, influence and persuade.
  • Ability to organize operations, manage resources and drive efficiencies.
  • 5+ years of experience managing data-related projects from concept to implementation in healthcare.
  • 5+ years of experience in working with EMR, EHR, inventory management system, evidence-based research solution, benchmark platforms, and BI tools in healthcare.
  • 5+ years experience partnering with care delivery leaders, finance, IT, and vendors to support performance improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting or analyzing data for Care at Home, telehealth, or post-acute care services is a strong plus.
  • Master's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
